  • Engineering Solutions (U) Ltd was incorporated in 2001, with Jim & Julie Middleton as the shareholders, to provide quality engineering services primarily to the agricultural and agro-processing sectors in Uganda. From small beginnings on Namuwongo Road with 3 workers the company has grown and now has over 60 employees. In January 2007 ENGSOL relocated to their new 1.3 acre site in the main Kampala Industrial Area.

  • Managing Director – Jim Middleton


    Having been brought up on a family farm and worked as a tractor mechanic in the UK, Jim has had years of practical experience with tractors and farm machinery. Having graduated in 1990, from Harper Adams Agricultural College with a degree in agricultural engineering, he gained more experience working in Australia and Kenya, registering as a Chartered Engineer in 1996. Relocating to Uganda in 1997 to work for the then Massey Ferguson dealer gave valuable local business knowledge. This wealth of experience has lead to the establishment of ENGSOL as the main provider of goods and services to the agricultural industry in Uganda

  • Customer Support Manager– Jose Akkara


    A qualified engineer with wide experience, Jose formerly worked with Tilda Rice in Uganda. He is now responsible for the service section, which has tripled in size since he joined the company. He is also a customer based individual who will always be happy to attend to you.
